Beloved

Beloved.

The definition of the word beloved is most endearing. It means to be "dearly loved". Dearly means "with great affection at a high price or rate" and one definition of love is "to feel a strong devotion towards".

If you put that together it says ... "with great affection at a high price to feel a strong devotion towards". Doesn't that speak of God's great love for us. At a high rate, because of His devotion towards us and His affection for us, He gave His life. Nothing can come close to the great value He has for us. He gave up everything to save us. Even His last breath. Our King lavished His love upon us when He chose to die for us.

It wasn't a papercut moment. He endured many lashes and excruciating pain so that we would be forgiven. Then it was done. There was finality with the last whip lash and with the last cry of His voice. "It is finished". No longer the need for guilt, no longer the need for shame, no longer holding on to the sin of the past or sin of the future. He said "It is finished" before you took your first breath.

He did it! He accomplished it all for you because He loves you.

He loves you. Take a moment and soak that in. He loves you. Read that again. A little slower this time. He. Loves. You. You no longer have to try to make Him love you because He already called you His Beloved. His dearly loved one. We don't have to try. We simply love Him. He simply loves us. He. Simply. Loves. Us. Just be with Him in this moment. Breathe in and out and sit with Him. Let go of the noise and just be with Him.

You are Loved.

You are Forgiven.

You are Righteous.

You are Enough.

You are Christ's Beloved.

You are Chosen.

You. Are. His. No matter how many times the accuser comes we can always tell him to "Be Silent! because I know my Savior says I'm His beloved." The weight of sin no longer has you. Guilt no longer has you. Shame no longer has you. Your King paid the ransom and HE HAS YOU! He's close to you. Right by your side. Never to leave you.

You. Are. His. He. Is. Yours. Forever. Amen. With His Love,
