Gratitude

ree

She waited so long to have a baby. Hannah cried out with pleading tears that God would one day give her a little boy.

She so desperately wanted a child that she offered him up to the Lord if only He would help her to conceive.

Imagine Hannah now in Labor. The midwife tells her to push. Push hard. Little Samuel's head is crowning. The midwife gently guides him out, his head, chest, arms, and then those little feet. She hands him to Hannah.

With joyful tears in her eyes, Hannah holds her beautiful baby boy. Gratefulness floods her heart as she kisses his little cheek.

Her prayer was answered, and she thanked God. Worshipped Him for His gift and His goodness.

Gratitude. For this gift, there was nothing else she could feel so deeply other than the love she held for her son and her Lord.

Have you ever felt deep gratitude?

Have you felt deep gratitude for Jesus? Sometimes we can get in a rush day to day, working, caring for friends and family, filling our day mindlessly with scrolling or entertainment, and sometimes we forget to stop and spend time with the Lord and truly thank and worship Him for His gift.

Imagine the Jewish people who waited over 400 years for Jesus to come. They wanted their Savior.

Then He came. Laid in His mother's arms, there He was. The messiah. The one that would save them from all of their sins.

The one that would be crucified on the cross. Taking all of our punishment, guilt, and shame there on the cross. Then rise again.

For so long they waited, and finally He came.

Gratitude. Deeply felt.

Then they worshipped Him.

Take a moment, feel the gratitude for your Savior and worship Him.

With His Love,

Heather
